Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One – Phase 3 Villas is located in Meydan area, in the heart of Dubai, covering 420,000m².
Keller, as a specialized geotechnical contractor, was assigned to carry out the ground improvement works required for the project, to improve and homogenize the soil conditions, ensuring compliance with the project's design criteria.
The challenge
Working under UAE summer conditions with restricted night shifts due to quiet neighborhoods and a tight schedule requiring periodic handovers during the project.
The solution
Keller utilized a combination of advanced ground improvement techniques, including Dynamic Compaction, Dynamic Replacement, and Rapid Impact Compaction, to enhance and homogenize soil conditions while meeting the project's design requirements. Additionally, Rapid Impact Compaction was employed to compact the additional fill material as an alternative to conventional methods, enabling the client to accelerate the construction timeline and facilitate a smoother project handover.
