Laying the foundation for modern Bahrain
In 1973, a branch office was set up in Bahrain initially to carry out driven piling and site investigation works. Over the years the range of activities has expanded to include bored piling, contiguous pile wall, secant and soldier pile retaining walls, ground improvement, de-watering, grouting and soil/rock anchors. Keller has completed in Bahrain more than 1,200 projects over the past years and it was the first company to introduce in 2005, the bottom feed dry method for ground improvement using our purpose-built Vibrocat for the Al Ezzel Power Plant at Hidd. Keller continued to successfully carry out many milestone projects including Bahrain International Airport and its recent prominent projects such as the Muharraq Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Sewer Conveyance Project.
As one of the biggest piling companies providing a range of ground engineering services on the island, Keller has demonstrated its expertise in the numerous prestigious projects throughout its long history in the country. Some of the landmark projects it has been associated with in Bahrain include Al Salam Resort in Zallaq; Bahrain International Airport extension; Difaaf Development on Reef Isloand; Seef flyover and Central Market interchange; Bahrain Map junction in Tubli; Amwaj Islands development; BCCI Headquarters; Regency Inter-Continental; The Ritz-Carlton; Al Ezzel Power Plant; National Stadium and many more.
The 40th year anniversary was held at the Sheraton Bahrain, Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro was among the high-profile guests who attended the event. Managing Director Geert Janssen started the event with an opening speech followed by Bahrain General Manager Imtiaz Ahmed Syed who gave a brief history of Keller.
Finally, we would like to congratulate our Bahrain team with achieving this wonderful milestone and wish them ever continued success in laying the foundation for future Bahrain.
